Silver jewellery

• When you're not wearing your jewellery, keep it somewhere safe and secure, such as a jewellery box.
• Avoid keeping your jewellery in the bathroom — moisture will make sterling silver tarnish more quickly.
• Avoid direct contact with water and chemical products, such as soap, perfume and abrasive cleaning products.
• Don't wear jewellery in the swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna or steam room, or while bathing or showering.
• Chlorine, detergents, oils, moisturisers and perfumes can all cause tarnishing and damage.
• Remove jewellery before doing household tasks.

Fine jewellery

As with all fine jewellery, stone settings should be checked occasionally. If there's any movement, please get in touch so we can repair it, or take it to your local jeweller.

To keep your fine jewellery looking its best, it should be cleaned regularly. A simple way to do this is to soak it in warm water with a few drops of a mild detergent, such as dishwashing liquid. A soft-bristled brush, such as an old toothbrush, can be used to reach intricate detail. Rinse well after cleaning and polish with a soft, lint-free cloth.
