During our stay in Venice we had a chance to do few ferry-boat trips to nearby islands. One of them was the colourful Burano. Recommended by many, it sure didn’t disappoint us. It’s vividly coloured houses and their unexpected combinations created amazing atmosphere. We were lucky to arrive there in the evening to avoid crowds. Encountered only few locals, mainly coughing Italians (probably heavy smokers all their lives) and old ladies sitting by the entrance of their home, waiting for the storm to come.
